I’ve got two motors in the back of my truck right now. --- the GM 250 w/new manifolds, carburetor, and HEI. it's from a 1973 Chevy C10...it was what the previous owner was putting in the truck. "The Chevy 250 straight-6 engine was a single-cam overhead-valve inline-six. It originally produced 155 horsepower and 235 lb-ft of torque with a one-barrel Rochester Monojet carburetor. The 250 was a stroked version of the smaller 3rd generation GM six-cylinder engines." --- the GMC 270 inline six (with tranny) is from the truck itself a 1959 100...and is a fairly rare motor. "The last GMC-only straight six was the 270-cubic-inch (4.4 L) 270. It was produced from 1941 through 1963, and was an OHV/pushrod engine. This is a raised-deck engine. The bore was 3.78125" (same as 256) and stroke was 4 inches (101.6 mm). Power listed in 1963 as 133 HP @ 3600 rpm; torque 244 lb ft @ 1300 rpm." --- I'm going with a modern LS, so these need to go. you come, lift them from the bed, and take them away. lmk!
