Anyone knows if they are replacement lenses for the speedometer on 53-54 Chevys? When I got this old speedometer mounted it looked brand new but after the first hot summer the lens started cracking up, now its sometimes hard to se the speed during nightdriving due to all the cracks. I found on ebay they sell gl*** lenses with printed numbers, but the original style engraved numbers looks a lot better i think.
Unsure of any replacements. But I have had good luck coating crazed plastic like this with Vaseline (petroleum jelly) and letting it sit for 2 or 3 weeks, seems to work best when its warm, or if it gets direct sunlight. Then wipe it off. I've never had a piece of plastic that didn't improve any, some turn out like new. The speedo lens in my '57 looked like yours, I did my thing and while I can still see the crazing, it is vastly improved/easier to read. Worth a shot.
Here you go, this guy makes new ones. https://www.ebay.com/itm/1257020754...yu29iPWLi7hts-PiNNH2MYYlGsy3KSPxoCe-8QAvD_BwE
