Chevy 350 building question

    Another first time engine building question. What is the torque that the nuts on the connecting rods need to be at? I set them at 45 ft lbs. That sound good?

    it depends on whether they are stock or aftermarket bolts, and what you use for a lube. If they all went to 45 pretty consistently, and the motor turns over easily with a breaker bar I wouldn't be to concerned about it.

    40-45 pounds feet. thats what the torque specs call for
