Chevy 402 Big Block, Need Advice

You are comparing apples and oranges when it comes to BBC engines/heads.

781's are great street heads for a 454+ engine but probably the worst head you could put on a 396/402.

 

Just curious how your big block turned out with the head decision?

 

Glad you revived this thread. I always wonder why folks don't come back and do a follow up so we know what the outcome was?

 

And what the final price was. Around here machine work gets real close to buying all new aftermarket, $150 valve jobs dont happen anymore.
