Chevy Brakes Helpppp

    I have a 1952 chevy deluxe all original parts,I changed brake shoes on front & rear.Had drums turned for clean up.(because I had to stand on them to stop) Still the same anyone offer a sugestion.

    what have you done to the hydraulic system? did you replace the hoses, and rebuild or replace the wheel cylinders and master cylinder?

    how long have you owned the car and has the brakes been the same?, adjusting 4 drum brakes can take a few tries to get it right, i take my truck out on a dirt road near the house and see what drags first and go from there. still feels like im standing on them next to power brakes though.
