Chevy C-10 rack and pinion conversion

I'm planning on converting a '67 Suburban to rack and pinion using the Unisteer kit that they list for a truck. Does anyone know if Suburban suspension is the same as the truck suspension. Has anyone else done this conversion and what "kit" did you use? Any direction is appreciated.

is it a half ton or 3/4

 

It is believed to be a half ton but it has a 6 lug wheel pattern. I take it there is a diffence then??

 

6 lug would have been 1/2 ton. 3/4 ton was 8 lug.
