Hey guys, I have this heater installed to the firewall in my '52 Chevy truck. None of the wiring is connected though and was wondering if anyone had any experience with these. Checked other threads and didn't find any info on it. Need to know what each wire is for and if any certain type of switch is required to operate it. Any help is greatly appreciated!
Just 1 wire to each motor. You need 2 rheostat equipped "Heater" & "Def" switches. The GM switches had their own 14 amp fuses.
I dont know anything about your heater, Is it 6 volt or 12 volt, does it have 1 speed or 2 speeds? But they are pretty simple. I have a 1949 single speed 6 volt blower motor. It has 2 wires and one is for ground and one is power from the fan switch. Some deluxe heater models have 2 speeds, and is now 3 wires instead of 2. But you are just wiring a heater blower motor, nothing special about them.
It's a 12 volt system. One wire coming from the bottom housing and others coming from the top where the blower motor is.
Mount the switch somewhere it won't burn anything it comes into contact with. These things get hot on low speed.
