I've heard that they are....I've heard that they aren't. The cars in question are both 2 door sedans. It seems like it's easier to find good doors from the Fleetlines as opposed to the Stylelines (which is what I have, Murphy's Law).
if you want to look in the Chevy parts catalog, go to http://chevy.oldcarmanualproject.com/1929_54chevyparts/index.htm the page about doors is here; http://chevy.oldcarmanualproject.com/1929_54chevyparts/10/532.HTM and you are comparing doors for the 1007 style to the 1011 style they use a different part number. What's different? I don't know.
Didn't we go through this a few weeks ago? In short, no. The top is shorter on Fleetline doors. A left Fleetline door is a pain in the *** to find in any shape, I can't tell you how many clunkers I found all missing that door entirely. Coupe doors don't interchange either, the shape of the top at the rear is different. However any notchback 49-52 Chevy or Pontiac will work, as well as the 49-51 Olds 76 and 88. Of course trim holes differ on the other doors, but they will bolt up and latch and the body lines match up.
There's a difference between Fleetline Aerosedan doors and Fleetline sedan doors...Fleetline Aerosedan doors will not fit a Fleetline sedan...and vice versa...however when comparing two door sedan doors, then yes, either model will interchange... R-
Yeah, that should have been the first question...when someone says Fleetline and Styleline, I immediately think of '46 -'48...cuz my bro has a '48 Fleetline Aerosedan...I keep forgetting Chevy kept those models up thru '52...I don't remember hearing of them in '53/'54... R-
