what s a good setup to use ? I have a '63 SBC in a '35 Ford and I cant get manual linkage to work out. Does a newer GM hyd. throw out work with a muncie and old bellhousing? Thanks for any help Gregg

  2. I used a bell housing from a Chevy dump truck that had a 350 in it.External slave with a firewall mounted master. The only drawback is the hole where the trans fits...its larger thus no support at the front bearing retainer. Works so far.

Ratmotor, Not a problem. Just have a machine shop turn a ring with the OD the size of the bellhousing dia. and the ID the size of the bearing retainer. Might have the OD turned .0005"-.001" oversize . that way once its assembled the slight press fit will hold the ring snug in the bellhousing and allow the trans to be removed leaving the ring in place.
