Took the Nova to our annual car show at the Flagstaff Airport yesterday. Wanted to drive to the show with the hood on the car and still be able to show the engine better, so I made some hood risers out of aluminum 1” tubing and 1/2” round stock. Worked nicely and I didn’t have to worry about the hood taking flight when the storm rolled in.
Nope, just with the show being at the airport I didn’t want the hood thinking it had been cleared for takeoff….
Posted a pic of my '64 somewhere in this thread, way back when, so might be time for an update. Still garage-bound but making a little progress. Front sheet metal is back on, now stringin' wires up front and putting the dash back together after a color change. Gotta get this one back on the road. Got places to go!!
