Someone showed me the spindles and kingpins off an early Chevy and the bushings are free to turn in the spindles. The only ones that are familiar to me are the Ford type, when the bushings are pressed into the spindles and then are reamed or honed to size. Is this correct for Chevies?

My '37 with the Dubbonet front suspension has floating bushings. First time I ever saw them.

just rebushinged a 32 spindle, those aren't supposed to float, had to be pushed in and indexed with the grease fitting. I'm not sure on the mid 30's though.
