Not sure if I'm posting this in the right place but here goes.

I was reading on another site when I came across a post saying Model T hot rodders swapped '27,'28 Chevrolet OHV heads onto the Ford flathead engines.

I'd never heard of this but, there are a lot of things that I've never heard of. If it was a common thing I'm sure the knowledge is here.

I only ask because sometimes fact and fiction is freely mixed on that particular site.

Thanks in advance for any input.

  2. Chevy and Olds heads were often swapped onto T blocks but it requires a lot of work so it was never common but not entirely uncommon. There is a current thread here regarding this subject

  4. You need to go back and read the Monthly Banger threads as well. Lots of great info there

  5. There was a Jern Thunderbolt conversion kit available for a while- poor man's Rajo.

The only heads worth doing this with are the '28 Chevy and Olds 3 port heads- '27 and earlier Chevy heads had one exhaust port- pretty weak.
