Chevy rearend issue

    Lota years on that rear and probally a few different hands in their. Pull it apart and be done with it.

    as all have said--sounds like 3rd member--lots or them around--get a good used one--costs alot for gears and rebuild-should be able to get a really good used unit for $125 and drive it for a long time unless you beat on it -would look for a 3:36 ratio-just took one out of a 57 and ti was wisper quiet (changed to a 3:70 posi)

    probably post a local craigslist want add, then call the local old car junk yard (All American Cl***ics, spendy joint) and a couple of the other local cl***ic chevy places and see whats available from them. There is a place in town i forgot about called Old Car Parts that deals only in 40's, 50's, and 60's GM stuff.
