Chevy truck question

Will an early 55 chevy truck body fit on a 56 chevy frame? I know with a torch and a hammer anything will fit but is it even close. From what I understand, the early 55 looks like a 54.

 

early 55 does indeed look like a 54.

I doubt it will be an easy project to install it onto a 56 frame.

 

I don't think so because the 55 changed during the year that is where the small cab and big cab comes from
