I went to look at a Chevy Vandura 2500 last week and I've been thinking that it could be a great start for a COE build.
I even thought about redoing my COE using the Vandura.
Using the van's subrame and fabing the rest of the frame for the COE.
    Correct steering angle,heavy duty brakes,etc
    Thoughts?

I guess it would depend on what coe you're talking about. Using a full size chevy van frame would not work on my 1938 ford coe. It would put the steering box outward of the cab. I used the Chevy truck frame which is 6" narrower and the steering box is right at the edge of the cab.

I wish I had used one...the wider stance would have put the front wheels out further. with the truck ch***is they are tucked in too far. IMO.
Probably too wide for the early coe's but the 50's styles have much wider fenders.
Only problem I see is the steering box may be too far outboard...
