Anyone here go to the Chicago Auto Show from '64 to 'possibly '67 ? There were two cars on display one year, one The Bathtub Mobile, and the other being The BedMobile. Dad said they were just weird as hell, but kinda cool in a offbeat, strange way. Dad said it blew him away that somneone built a bed and a clawfoot tub that had engines on them. I only have two pics of these cars, but they were taken by my dad when he was just a kid, so the quality isnt't great, and I haven't been able to dig out any other information on them anywhere. I'm glad as hell I found the HAMB.
I just showed the pic to dad and he laughed quite a bit. From what he rememberes, the guy built them and took them around the country to schools, fairs, and stuff like that. Someone told him awhile back that in '67 or so that they actually let the car make a few exhibition passes at US 30 and the guys brother rembered seeing it on display at Oswego. Thanks for the pic.
