That sucks if you registered and went down there and got turned away. The 75 Deuces are going to take up alot of room.
Not trying to defend Promotions, Inc. or the show chairman, but the two shows are run by different folks. In all fairness, they have to make some calls on what to allow in and what to bounce. It's their show, their call. It's a business. It's all about money. Personally, I don't want to pay $16.00 plus parking, food, etc., to look at a Hummer or a Corvair. You can see those at the parking lot shows and on the street. I prefer seeing modified vehicles that you don't normally see in everyday. Our group pretty much stopped taking our street rods down, simply because it was too much hassle, i.e., getting in on Thursday, getting out on Sunday p.m. The best part of w.o.w. was usually the drive there and back, even in the snow and sleet. No I'm not going to attend. I couldn't imagine there would be too many cars there that I had not seen at the HCP just a few months ago.
I thought this shoebox was killer. It's an odd combination when you hear about it, but seeing it, I like it. The tan deuce I've only seen once at the weekly Elmhurst cruise night. Nice car. The blue deuce is one of my favorite deuce roadsters and I am excited to see it in person.
If I'm gonna pay to see a show, I'm hoping to see a couple cars with paintjobs less worse than mine. Maybe even SHINY paint w/out billet...
