Upholstery trimmer looking to relocate.... Anywhere in or around the Chicago area. Anyone seen or know of space available? 800 sq. ft. should do the trick.
If you want to buy a nice shop in the city, pm palosfv3 here on the HAMB. Bigger than what you want, but nice. Lots of stuff available in the south suburbs. Economy sucks and property taxes in Crook County are out of site. Many small business guys have relocated into NW Indiana in past several years. Good luck. Stu
Lots of space, but it will depend on how much you're willing to spend, how much danger/risk you're willing to accept, and how close to the City of Chicago you want to be.
At this point, willing to really check out anything. Would love to be in close proximity to other local speed shops, body shops, etc. for networking purposes. Danger? I like danger.
I've got a friend who does custom interiors. He's looking for help at this time. South Suburbs. He's done work for some "big dollar" rod shops. Maybe you want to work in this area and then later be on your own? Stu
How close to Chicago do you want to be? If you get out west of Rt. 47 the costs start to drop. You could check out Sycamore, Dekalb, or Rockford. There are several good to excellent hot rod shops in these areas, and you would still be within about 100 miles of Chicago. There should be shop space in the Rochelle / Oregon / Mt. Morris areas, which would be dirt cheap, compared to Chicago. These are all within 100 miles of Chicago. Customers will travel for good quality work.
I'll give him a shout. This is true. Shit, I know people here in CO, that have shipped their rods to CA to have work done. No disrespect, but c'mon, man.
