Just got back from chickasha swapmeet, had good time sold some stuff and bought a few small items. I got a complete set of 4 nice 16 inch ford steel wheels, 331 hemi with factory 2x4 intake, and 348-409 edelbrock 6x2 intake and 6 carbs. Oh and chaddillac hopefully you got some sleep you seemed awfully cheery for a guy who stayed up alnight. It was good to meet everyone that stopped by. I guess now I need to get out in the shop and do some work.

I walked through twice and found some very nice bargains. It was not as big as the fall one but it never is as the spring rains scares people away. I picked up a really nice 30-31 model A radiator with shell, a couple of windshield frames, a manual clutch flywheel for my 454 and a bunch of smaller goodies. It is what you make of it, some folks wouldn't be happy if you gave them 20 pounds of pure gold nuggets.

And yes, I did go on Friday.

  7. I went on Fri. also. I wasn't real impressed and was wondering if the CAAC shouldn't just stop having the Spring meet altogether. Just stick with prewar and fall.

The Pre-war Is Put On By Someone Else. One Of My Favorite Swap Meets.

  9. I did see one buy, 30-31 2 door sedan, missing one door, cowl kinda beat up but 600 for the hole bile !!! I only had 300 and offered that but got shot down !!! It was some guy looking around but had it in his pickup so we gave him a p*** and he drove it in for us to see, not a bad buy, says its on okc craigs list ????

I saw a fibergl*** T bucket body on the back of a pickup Friday with a $325 price tag on it. I was on my way to eat lunch and it was gone by the time I got back.

The pre-war meet is my favorite but it was nice to get out in the sunshine Friday and dig around in old car parts. I do regret not know who to look for from the HAMB while there. Maybe we should start wearing the HAMB shirts or put a HAMBER sign at shows and meets.

  11. you used to be able to tell how was hamb or not but anymore . . . good luck unless your out in the parkin lot talking to some guy who just bought a cool car that doesnt know jack about it then you know you got a hamber !!!

Yea wasn't much to look at on friday... I stole some cal custom valve covers for $40, pretty nice, and got 3 pair of drive in speakers.

Worm: I crashed on the way home while Pop drove, then crashed again when I got home, I think I slept 13 hours!
