    Regarding Bondo....done right and covered with Paint nobody knows and most don't care.
    However given the time it would be nice to metal finish one...but I will never have the time.

    there sure is something to be said for building your own rod rather than just buying a toy.

    Here is the only thing chopped in my garage right now. 56 vw, I think I chopped it 4 in., I can't remember:D. I still aint ground down all the welds yet....someday right?

    I already posted finished pix on another thread, but this puts everything into perspective......besides, I can't help myself I'm so excited to be finally on the road........[​IMG]...still lots more work to do...[​IMG].....but hopefully it's gravy from here on....[​IMG]........

    That is nice work. I really like the idea of keeping the original rear window. The way you did it, removes really some of my concerns about even chop my `50 style line. Before i think it was not a job for me. You actually just need a grinder, a welder, some hand tools and a lot of patience. How much time did you put into it? I know it´s an old thread, but I figure you can still remember it;)
