It is pretty straight forward I did 46 a few weeks ago and it took about 12 hours with 2 roofs so there was only one weld seem when I stretched the roof. That is probabley an easy first chop project.

How do you accidently buy a truck, every one i have bought was on purpose. You must of at least really wanted it. Antways, welcome to the hamb and post some pics of it.

40 trucks aren't as involved as coupes, I have an article on chopping trucks I can e-mail you in about a month, I have to dig it out my boxes of magazines.:D And welcome to the HAMB.

I must have missed your intro. I am assuming you don't know much about these cars, so:

Clicking on "buy it now" means you "BOUGHT IT JUST THEN"...

Oh boy. Not knowing you personally, but If I was you, and I didn't know much with e-Bay and old cars, I'd try and re-sell it and be done with it. It's going to be a ride like no other for you (and your family/significant other) especially if you aren't framiliar with "old trucks".

When I plan projects, I think "How long will this take?" then I times it by three, but I have tools and a place to restore cars, not to mention the understanding that goes into a resto project.

I'm in no way trying to ruin your dreams...but from your post it seems clear to me that you have no clue what you are getting into.

These things aren't poodles that you pay someone to groom, unless you have the cash to pay someone for every little thing. If you don't have the knowledge or the tools, you'd better sell it off quick. $60.00 an hour for labor adds up quick.

If you buy a car on e-Gay without knowing it: in your words "accidently", I'm curious as to how this one turns out.

I agree with Mercman, sounds like the truck needs a home with someone who won't "accidently" ruin it. Make a profit and move on
