Favourite bit of the weekend, seeing the glazed over look on Ken's(bykerlad) face after a hot lap in Doug's A racer. Mark,i will never suffer from constapation again thanks to Doug lol lol Chopped is by far the best run we have here in oz,I had a ball
Wow mates, looks like a bloody good time. Trying to sound like a local, but probably sounding like a loco. Really a bunch of awesome rods, customs, and scooters. The tracks for the drags and the roundy round is really a cool idea. Thanx for sharing the event with us, I would have enjoyed it live, but enjoyed it plenty via the great pix. Cool! ~sololobo~
Going for a fang in Doug's speedster was an experience never to be forgotten. The way that thing runs, put many a V8 on the trailer at the dirt (read: mud) drags. For all those sheep rodders who went to Valla - keep going, as Chopped is the best left for hot rodders
Part 2. Considering we didn't go there with the intention to make a short film, i think it turned out ok http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N9KRczeYgd8&feature=channel_video_title

Here's a few pics from the weekend. A bunch of us came over from NZ for Chopped and had a blast - great people, cars and bands! Might have to do it again next year Thanks to all the Ryan, Kyle, the other organisers, and the Adelaide crew for making us feel welcome.
I'm pretty sure i saw this Merc one Friday night more than 20 years ago cruising through Dandy. Can someone chime in and tell me if this car has been around for that long.
Scotty, Thanks for the link to the 36 3W buildup - PM'd you Wasn't the Merc around in the days when Con had one, and a member of the spades also had one painted with nail polish??? That ring a bell?
Was really hoping to get to chopped this year, but had a family do in Qld... looks like a grouse weekend, friends went down and had a great weekend. next year, thanks all for the pics!!
You folks down under obviously know how to put on an event and make the most of it. Lots of nice rides, too. Thanks for posting up here on the hamb.
was a great weekend, with out a doubt best car show ive been to, and the only show that actually sticks to the pre 65 custom only rule its sets out, so refreshing not to see million dollar street machines built for 12 year old to enjoy and lowered hiluxs with white walls painted on. cannot wait till next year. thanks for the photo's i was to busy drinking or thrashing my poor old wagon to take any haha.
