Chopped '48 DeSoto - Has anyone done this?

That Photoshopped picture without the trim on front fender will require a lot more work than the picture shows. the fender is welded together at this area. The molding rests on the edge of the bottom part of fender. Of Course a good metal man can do it, just saying. I did this on a 50 Plymouth, were the owner wanted the chrome removed. But on the 46-48 DeSoto this molding is part of the parking light surrounding. (it would Create another problem)
