Hot Rods Chopped/Channeled '34 5 window from San Diego, Ca.

    Purchased as a "ShotRod"...303 Olds, 3 speed- torque tube '34 diff. 6 volts, gas tank wired to chassis with an extension cord! No shocks and it overheated on any day over 80F. But licensed and drove it away!

    Boxed the frame, switched to suicide style front axle mount and added a '50 Olds diff. sprung with Renault Dauphine coils! Engine was a 371 with slantpan hydro.

    Sadly no photos of the car finished.... the body guy's sister took these...

    Sold out of San Diego in the 70's to Northern California..

    It sounds like an interesting story, but I'm not sure what happened when & if it's still happening..or is it me having a senior moment again?
