I've been seriously thinking about chopping the top on my '65 F100 and was wondering if anyone had any pics of something like this or if anyone has done one. I'm thinking about going for around 6 inches.

  2. Hey Fordguy,

Chopped mid-sixties F-100s are pretty rare, but I do have a few pictures. I'm not real sure if the yellow Stanford drawing is chopped or not, but I thought I'd toss it in here, too. Hope these help inspire you...............E

That black one has a pretty nice roofline and it's close to what I'm shooting for. The primered one with the red roof is a little outrageous but A for effort. You just don't see these trucks with crazy body mods.

Even a minor chop on this generation of F-100 tends to look "sat on". Maybe instead, take some height out of the CAP of the roof. In fact, I had thought about and even procured an earlier roof skin (ElPolacko) that is about an inch and a half(?) lower than a '64 and up roof skin. Compare the two... it's a pretty obvious difference.
