Great event, thanks Ryan. Really kool cars. And met some really great like minded guys. Should be bigger and better next year. Had some reservations about blasting up the freeway to Newstead as I've never had the 30 coupe at highway speed. She ran like a champ all weekend. Great to cruize up withe the rest of the crew. Gonna mark down CHOPPED on the calendar for next year definately. What the **** is it with that Calder freeway anyway? Turns to **** every time I'm on it. Must be me? *****
My pictures from Saturday: LINK: http://s10.photobucket.com/albums/a124/skivi/09 Chopped Rod and Custom show Newstead/?albumview=grid no trailer queens here i drove in behind this convoy, love the AP5/6 Safaris! fuel pump issues didn't allow this nice blokes pre-unit to get around like the others perfection? my favourite car of the show, also the black merc had me weak at the knees killer killer Trumpet, easily on parr with the best stuff i see coming out of Japan and the US, huge kudos to the builder. click on the link at the top for the rest. -Nick
Great weekend!!! Thanks to Ryan and the "chopped" crew for all there effort to put on a truly awesome weekend. BTW-The dash is out of a 56 olds-I made a pattern for the centre and had it cast by a mate.
Thanks Sean!!! Hope you dont mind but ive saved a couple of your pics!! Took my camera-didnt take any pics though!!!
shoot me your email address man il send you better quality ones, sick of people using my **** without my permission so starting to post low-resolution pics now.
just makes you want to spew doesn't it... don't think that was mark in japan... at least crate head actually made it
I'm a man of my word......I said I wouldnt be there! and if you ever put garbage on me, you better be a fast runner Looks like the quality of plenty of the cars was way up this year! Some real good taste starting to be shown! Im glad nearly everyone there seemed to have a good time, and I hope the support gets back to Ryan & Co, after the effort they keep putting in to support the hobby here in Oz. I hope it won't be another great up-and-coming Aussie get together being shut down coz of the Police/TOG attention brought down by the actions of wise people doing burnouts on public streets, putting a target on all of us (and I don't even use Club Rego). Thanks for all the pix everyone is posting!
If I remember correctly, the motor FRANK AND I put in the car gave you faultless service for at least a year. It was the ones YOU put in that kept blowing up. Nothing to do with me.
Thanks for sending those pics Sean!!! I promise i will never download anything that isnt mine ever ever ever ever again!!!!
Big thanks to Ryan and crew for puttng on this event. I don't get to many troughout the year, but made the effort for this one and was glad I did. Was great to catch up with some old mates, Flatoz, Rat Bastad, and Lowsquire.....it's been too long, and to meet some others on here, Binga, Striper, and Dago. We had to leave early Sunday, but the Buick performed flawlesly, landing us back in Canberra by 5:30pm. Funny thing is we sat on about 130 the whole way way home with out seeing a cop the whole way, only to be pulled up 100 meters from home and ticketed for talking on my cell phone!!!!!! Most of what I shot photos of has already been posted, I'll see what else I have and post then up tomorrow. Looking forward to next year, hopefully with the roadster in tow behind the Buick.
I think he has got you there Corey...... Good to talk to you too and damn you were game travelling that fast in Victoria, the Police State. I hope you do bring the roadster next year as I would love to see it.
Well fella's looks like a fully sik, kick *** time was had by all... Good to see! Wicked foto's, thanks to all for posting, keep em coming! We all need to be grateful to Ryan and the boys for organising such an event, and keeping the spirit of traditional gr*** roots rodding alive! Well done guys!
Looks like I might have to PLAN for next year and get my **** up there on Saturday. Hey Sean, I feel your pain, bought what I thought might be a neat DVD at a recent swap meet. When played it turned out to be one of my own. If I see the ***** again he'll be getting a lot more than ten bux from me.
This was my 1st time and unfortunately only came up on the Sunday and missed alot of great cars by the look of the pictures, Thanks to all for posting them. I'll definitely be back next year for the entire weekend, hopefully with the Deuce.
Thanks for all the pics guys. Without them I wouldn't get to see the show I spent all day at! FWIW, Frank p***ed the scenester cuff-O-meter test with flying colours! Thanks to Ryan, Kyle, Willo and the VOLUNTEERS for organising the show, giving me a space there for my stuff (again!), shifting cars, edumicating dyslexic streetrodders (could the entry signs have been any clearer?!) and organising the great weather.
