My '28 A is chopped 3' and I cant see much out my windshield. I was thinking of chopping the sunvisor about an inch. Has anyone ever done this? I've searched for pictures and only see some with hole, which I dont want to do that.
Probably easiest to just put the break in the top edge a little farther down, and trim the excess off. Would take a bit of trimming on the sides too, and maybe redrill the mounting holes in the body up higher. A couple hours work, then paint.
If your Model A is chopped 3 feet, you can take the visor off and you still won’t be able to see out of it. I’m just joking with you. I know you meant 3”.
Is it? I did not know that, thanks. I was thinking the chop on the car in question is 3" while my '30 Tudor is cut 4" and it is not too bad to see out of. Wonder if the O.P. could do something with the seat mount to get it just a little lower... just a thought.
My '31 coupe is chopped 3.5" and I don't have an issue with vision but I am only 5'8". I do use one of the stoplight prisms in case I am first in line at the light
Also a difference to note, the 28-9 visor is mounted under the header eyebrow (lower). The 30-1 visor is mounted up high and level with the top.
Could try a slightly different angle. If you have to cut the stock visor, take the material off the back.
