I watched this kat Ivan build this car from the frame up. Sick work this kid can do. Wait till ya see this guy Joel's car he has ivan building for him right now. If ya want a sick hot rod hit this kid up. I love the car minus the surfboard. But thats just me...

I kind of like it, it's extreme. I would hate to drive it down the I-5 from say Everett to Tacoma though, if you could make it that far on that rough and bumpy freeway. I could see it getting high centered with a quikness, especialy over the ship cannal bridge expantion joints. OUCH!

Hated the car before with the flat black cartoony super low deal. I really dig it now! Something to be said for color and a theme.

    Awesome!!!

Kind of has a '60s show-car vibe to it. I half expect to see an illustration of it on a faded model-car box.

Yeah, but wouldn't it be cool to pass under the belly of an 18 wheeler with it.

Man I dunno guys, a theme car? A little too OCC for me. I won't poop on this thread by ranting it up, I'll just say I don't like either version of this car.....one step away from being "Ol Skool Rodz Message Board Rod of the Year"......

    I know Ivan.
He's a Kool dude with a good, intelligent and talented mind. He has a wife and infant kid who usually caravan along in a different rod because she likes to drive them too.
He's been creating fine traditional rods for quite a while and did a stint working behind the scenes at the Monster Garage.
He doesn't do anything to a car with out having a damn good reason and thinking it through so that is why I like this car.
I wouldn't personally drive it around with a surf board on top because I don't surf and I'm not about to become what looks like a hodad wannabe surfer.
    I think Ivan does surf....
But other than that I think it's bitchin!

(I don't know about the club name Cavaliers though, Dictionary says it means, among other things, "gay"...) [IMG]
Just kidding Ivan, where ever you are.... [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]

  16. Bad ass car. For me though, I don't like roadsters that slammed down.. It's for goin' fast, you know? [IMG]

I am absolutely dumbfounded that any of you people who know this Ivan kid would gave your "props" to the build of this car.

Did you even look at it? Or just stand 20 feet back and say "yeah, thats a neat car" ??????

Well - it does show some real craftmanship and creativity, but I doubt whoever built it has driven Tulsa roads.

I did look at the car up close, and for what it is, I don't think it deserves to be slammed ie. builder or car. It is not a high zoot/gold chain type of car. That said, I don't think any of us are so good that we can throw rocks at creatvity.

And I quote Mr.Ganahl from the All American Hot Rod "But the hallmark of Hot Rodding is individuality and creativity. Setting a new trend is as good as perfecting an older or existing one." --TV [IMG]

Around here, being creative is an obvious excuse for lack of other qualities.

You know what, I give up.

If you guys want to make heros out of guys who build dangerous cars have at it!

But do yourself and your family a couple of favors:

    1) Sign up for a welding class at your local ROP center or Community College.

    2) Buy a couple of HP books on chassis construction and metal fabrication before you try to build one yourself.

    3) Ask yourself, WWCFD? What Would Cole Foster Do? He wouldn't half-ass anything to save a dollar, would he?

I am tired of argueing with everybody.

    Don't PM me

    Have a nice day

fuckin a , been a long time since i spit coffee on the computer screen.

are you a total fucking idiot?, i suggest, as with others, you do a search on killers posts, and know who you are talking to before you run yur pie hole anymore

its only because of where that car is now, that it will become any kind of driver at all, as well as safe.

    Jeeeezuzzzz?!!!

You still talking about this? If you want a cartoon, build a model. Or cast it in solid brass... Hot Rods should be driveable...

And FJA, you are just a pussy!

Don't slam somebody if you don't have the stones to identify yourself first. Homo... Go "Ding-dong Ditch" someone and leave Hot Rod Critiques to the grown-ups.

I have seen Killer's welds and I have seen Ivan's welds.
I like both people BUT I would never worry about something Killer has welded, Period!!! Oh, yeah Before doing A/C I was a certified welder so,yeah I do know what the fuck the difference is!
In all fairness to Ivan I don't think the electrical at his house is able to support much more than a 110 mig machine. It has been some time since I was there, hopefully he has upgraded it.
