Take a good clear photo, front, back and side, with a tape measure verticle showing. Take your sicisors(sp) and cut 4in out. You will learn a lot of info......OLDBEET

The 36 is pretty easy to chop. You will have to lay back the pillars to compensate for the chop. I may have some pics coming soon on a 36 we are taking 7" out of. It's gonna be radical.... [IMG]

we did 5 1/2" last fall. Instead of laying the a pillars back (I think it looks like **** that way). We cut the floor and have to move the back of the cab forward 1 5/8 and then we sectioned the doors vertically with 1 5/8 as well. Turned out really nice but is alot more work than laying the pillars back. But then again, like we have anything better to do then cut weld hammer and dolly.

I can try to find some pix later.

If you have ever seen Jason, shortening the cab wouldn't even be a good idea. He is square, like me. As wide as he is tall. No offence Jas' but you still need the cab to be FGF (fat guy friendly).

That's good advise from oldbeet and something I did before I chopped my 37 cab. I wanted a small chop and decided 1.5inches after doing the photochop. Marked my cutting lines on the cab and welded in braces inside the cab. Caution on the front pillars when measuring, laying a ruler down on the front of the pillars will give you a larger cut than your measuring. Measure the vertical distance. Here is my cab marked up and ready to cut.

Then off came the top. I wanted to keep the rear window full size so I cut below the rear window.

I also didn't want to lay back my front post so the top required a cut across the top. I cut at the widest point. I used the piece removed from the rear of the cab as my filler. Front post needed a few vertical cuts to help move the post into alignment.

Doors were a little tricky as the front, top and rear sections of the door are all different so I had to make my own filler sections.
