Looking for ideas on how to shorten up a 32 Ford car grille insert and end up with it looking good. I've seen many butcher jobs and a few real nice ones so how is a nice one done? Thanks.

A friend just did mine. He removed the bars,got them loose from the horizontal bars and cut the ends.Then he cut the outer ring near the bottom. Weld it back together then fit the vertical bars. About 4 hrs. I polished the ring and its almost perfect. His work Is, mine,polishing, not quite so. He did follow covells article on the shell.
