chopping a 32' grille shell

Hey everybody i know Ron Covell just did this artical in Street Rodder but i but i thought i would post the one i just did just happen to have a customer need one done i took 7 1/2 inches out of this one.I had Dales Mgf send me a Unwelded insert so i will post some pics as soon as i get it together.

Thought id show some pics Got it done finaily got the insert back from Dales after i shorting it shipped it to my customer and said it fits great.

 

looks good ! i have an original hanging on my wall w 7and a half inches taken out of , i could never figure out what kind of radiator would have fit and it had to be on a severely channeled car ! any idea what this ones going on ! did they not put a spreader bar in the middle of the insert to keep the grill bars aligned ?

Thanks Guys im not sure what radiator he's using i think he had to have one made. I got the insert in peices and choped it all myself and sent it back to have the outer stainless peice put on and the center bar and for some reason they didint put it back in but i realy think it didnt need it the bars dont seam to want to move much.
