Chopping a 53 210.

    If you are chopping a 53 chevy 2 door. Can you cut the roof across the roof and lengthen so that chop fits, just a thought. I don't no shit thats why im asking. Maybe the experts at choppng or someone thats chopped can anwser this.:rolleyes:

    There are a whole bunch of ways to do this...
    But yes you will have to lengthen the roof front to back. I would try to stay away from making the roof wider.
    When you take the section (how ever many inches) out of the pillars, the roof will essentially move forward and you will need to make a filler piece across the roof in front of the rear glass.
    That is a very general description. Good luck. Also try doing a search if you havent already. I would bet someone has posted pics of this type car or a similar one.

    ...why would you need to lengthen the roof?they usually just put a filler stip in behind the package tray nowadays,or if you look closely at old pix of moonglow,they just bent the plexi at a funny angle and didnt do any stretching or filler pieces
