does anyone know if Chris Neilson is alive and well. I had sent him a bunch of money just after the New Years for a cam and springs. I spoke to him around the middle of February at which time he told me that he had been in hospital but he was back at work. Well it is now almost the middle of March and I've called him a couple of times and left messages but no response. Anyone close by that could drop in to his shop? Thanks in advance Bill
I just spoke with him as he is doing two cams for me. He is much slower due to health but is working through it. He is worth waiting for, i will patiently wait. But reach out to me if you need anything from him, i am close to his family. Flathead Leo
Chris Nielson just p***ed on from his battle with cancer on 12/15/2017. When I spoke with him last week his greatest concern was that he was leaving without having things tied up at the shop. He poured his heart and soul into grinding those cams. He should have quit 20 years ago but he just couldn't leave all you guys and your projects. He's a great man.
Condolences to the Neilson family on Chris's p***ing...It has got to be pretty darn depressing hearing the terrible news that you are suffering from something that is going to rob you of your life. I hope the fellows get thing straightened out business wise.
Sorry to hear of Chris’ p***ing. Several years ago I sent a few MOPAR hemi cams to Chris for regrind. He was friendly and true to his word about the turn around time. It was a pleasant experience. My sincere condolences to his family and, no doubt, his many friends. Ray
Very sad to hear this - I have dealt with Chris over the years ... have a Nielsen cams in my 39 Ford Coupe Flathead 59L and one in my Ford 39 Coupe Cadillac 331. He was always generous with his time to share information - he dug up his records to supply me with the original cam specs for each cam. He will be missed and remembered for sure. Thank you for letting us know of his p***ing.
