Featured Folks Of Interest Chris Raschke in fatal Bonneville 300 mph crash

First I pray for his family, friends, and the all in the land speed fraternity. This is a tragedy none of us want to hear.
It is my understanding from the SCTA club I’m in that this year the Speed Demon Team was not using their gold #715 and well known race car. They were loaned a different more traditional styled streamliner which had been run a few times even in Bolivia and designed and constructed to be a 500 mph vehicle. I saw photos of it on line during the setup day when the wind came up as team members were trying to reassemble some panels. Here is a photo of the car.

 

Seen the video looks like the nose dug into the salt at 300 mph very sad and God Speed Chris Raskche.
