Art and Mike Chrisman put on just about the best hot rod Christmas party every year. This one was no exception - here are some pix:

There are some old boys in those pictures that won't be around much longer. Nice to see them out and about and still in good health.

This is just one great party - great food cooked up by the Outriders, gracious hosts and legends of racing and hot rodding roaming like bison on the plain. And you get the chance to rub shoulders and chat to them right up close. It's a mix of regular guys, the famous and the not so famous all thrown into one big melting pot.

There is no area of the shop that is closed or off limits. There is a ton of history hanging on the walls or in display cases. Everything is immaculate and available for the closest inspection. Usually starts around 4.00pm until ??? Art and Mike have been throwing this one for several years now and it just gets better every year.

The Chrismans are among my all time favorite hot rod builders, along with Roy Brizio. Everything is flawlessly executed with unbelievable attention to detail and the engineering is impeccable. So thanks Art and Mike for another great one.

I got bogus info (10-4 ) so got there 12:30 but had to leave early to get back to the shop. It used to be Friday night , much better on Saturday , I'll be back. What a fantastic way to spend a day , in the presence of greatness , both the people & the vehicles, engines etc. Thanks for posting the cool photos.Sorry I couldn't try your Beans Julian (Alvarez owner of the Bud Bryan AV8 , amongst others ) did the cooking .Merry Christmas to all & to all it was a good night !

I think this is the 32 3W that was on the cover of TRJ ... without paint. It was done by Dave Simard. I saw it for sale on one of the internet sites for 200 grand ... I would own it if I could afford it. :) Unfortunately ... I am POOR

That's like seeing Mickey Mantle, Ted Williams and Joe DiMaggio standing there talking. Great photo.
