I’d like to find another year of decent health so I can still be a good influence on my 14 year old grandson. He’s lived with me since he was just about two, I potty trained him taught him his ABCs by singing them to him at nap time, how to ride a bike and fish at three although he liked throwing rocks better. He learned how to hit and throw a ball get good grades in school and swear like the devil when he is playing his game with his friends ( he didn’t get that from me ). I will be 70 when he graduates from high school and I hope I’m able to be there so I’ll hope for one more year because I don’t want to be greedy. IMG_0607.jpeg

My Christmas wish is that I receive the wisdom to learn how to make better use of what ever time I have left!
When I retired in 2018, I got off the "needy" train, and finished up my existing projects quickly.
Over the years, I was so caught up in building my empire, I missed a lot of real life things along the way. I can see that clearly now. Its not regret, I can't turn back the clock and do some things differently then I did. I am learning to do things differently now, but I still have a long way to go. I need more wisdom so I can make use of the time I have left, so I can continue to improve the life course I'm currently on.
I guess I have reached a point in my life where reflection on my past has opened my eyes to the things I should have done differently.

  4. Give me a January thaw that provides about a week of weather warm enough to pull the leaky AOD transmission on my '29AA and replace the snout seal. Oh, and the continued good health to do it, okay Santa? The rest I can take care of myself. Oh, and if you're generous, Santa, keep my OTDD going for a few more months so I can get to my part-time job, the grocery and auto parts stores.

Shorten up those jack stands and you'll have a lot more headroom, or if you're single and there's a room directly above your garage, take out the floor and put in a lift. A word of warning; If you're married, you might want to run that one past your wife first;).

Maybe you should look at post #32. You want a bigger shop, @Pist-n-Broke wants to get his truck painted. You move out of SoCal and rent out part of his hu****ous shop; he gets the money to paint. Sounds like a match made in Heaven;). A couple of shots of good Scotch and I can come up with answers to anyone's problems:). You can thank me later.

Ok. To be clear, this was not my idea. My wife decided that my gas pump would look cute in her kitchen. So, with a little ***istance from @Kim Strobeck and my daughters beau we moved it into the house.

She added a snowman “petroleum transfer engineer” to the display and put red cloth over the white lights that illuminate the dials

IMG_8296.jpeg I was not on board but as per fricken usual, it works. My wife is a damn Christmas elf.
