christmas wrapping hamb style-o/t

    the two presents are going to non tool type people, they don't have sawzalls or angle grinders- i put my presents in cookie tins, flat blacked em and then silkscreened my logo on them. to get into the large square box, my friend will just need to be able to break the 4 spot welds- to get into the round tin will require cutting through the 1/4 inch rod cage around it

    That's funny!!
    I saw a bottle of scotch done in a similar fashion.
    It was put in a piece of pipe and then the ends were welded up. There was an oval cut out in the side of the pipe so you could see this nice bottle of scotch sitting there with no way to get at it.

    my brother used about 20 pop rivets to "wrap" my christmas check in two pieces of aluminum sheet a couple of years ago...

    That's a great idear! If shipping gifts, it'd help keep the postal employees honest too.
    A variation could be to weld a hasp to the gift box and lock the two halves with a big ol' hurc padlock. Send the key as a separate gift.
