Back on topic: here is the "chrome molding. The 1", which I had to search for, a little piece of 3/4" the most auto parts stores stock, and some 1/4" I had in the cabinet.
I used chrome vinyl on some side window moldings. The sticky type tape didn't work well. I need to do it again as wiping does take the some of the shine off.
Not sure what's off topic? Is it The medium and method used or the canvas it's being is shown on, maybe both. It's hard to find a tutorial video on vinyl chrome getting installed on vintage parts. But the exact same method of on vinyl on a vintage steel bumper or other parts would lead to the exact same results. Some imagination required. If you can't see yourself installing that stuff getting installed on various vintage doohickeys I'm not sure what's wrong.
Thanks Brian. I have some off topic things that I build that this would look great on. Thanks again for your response.
Wow! Really cool idea. I wonder how much it would cost to wrap my entire Model A couple? I could call it The Silver Surfer. Thanks for posting, all kidding aside your windshield frame looks super. Sent from my iPad using H.A.M.B.
