I can't believe I and all my friends lived to be healthy old men without the EPA ,the environmentalsts and the seat belt safety police fixing every thing for us. It's a miracle I tell ya. A miracle !!!!
Just because you lived to be old doesn't mean the next generation would have if your generation kept dumping **** into the rivers and air uncontrolled. Comments like this are about the same as telling someone to start smoking because you smoked and never got cancer.
Kan Custom, unfortunately lots of other Americans have not experienced the miracle you have. I have several friends who are no longer with us and I believe their exposure to carcinogens contributed to their early demise. One was a career auto painter. Would you rather US citizens be subjected to the same EPA requirements of Mexico and China? Have you ever heard of Agent Orange type herbicides, DDT and the like? Asbestos poisoning? Obviously not. Someone I know was just diagnosed with an extremely rare form of Leukemia (almost no white blood cells) which may have been the result of his exposure to Trychlorethylene. I suggest you Google Trychlorethylene exposure hazards. I'm glad we have EPA requirements for plating shops. Gary
I just got a quote for my front axle in the Kansas City area, 300.00 - 500.00 depending on how good I want it to look. They will firm up the quote when I take it to them and discuss exactly what I expect.
HRP, its not getting off topic. EPA requirements have a direct relationship on the prices we pay for our chrome plating. Gary
I understand that but it's also been beat to death and there ain't a thing we can do about it,arguing with each other is just going to get the thread deleted. HRP
HRP is correct. Regulations, whether one agrees with them or not, are a cost of doing business anywhere. How you personally feel about them is not a topic that is relevant, or permitted by Ryan, on the HAMB. What we can discuss is pricing and quality and availability of chrome/nickel platers, which in the end is more productive and less confrontational anyway.
