Chrome polish that takes off bluing?

    Brandy, by all means use scotch brite discs to flatten your weld, but be careful about getting the bumper ready for chrome with them.
    I have had too many jobs prepped badly full of divorts and cuts from scotch brite discs to count. Bad prep is worse than no prep and can easily double the bill.
    Do your final flatting either by hand, with a D/A sander or jitterbug.
    Then you'll give the plater something they can work with.

    this is better than mr. wizards world!!!more info in this post than i can understand in just one look.chrome just took on a new look to me...thanks guys....

    Not sure if anyone has mentioned this already but, I use a polish called PURPLE, made by a US company, Californian... something, I can't recall.

    This stuff is the shit, works real good on my bucket pipes.

    Thanks guys! That full bumper for a 58 Chev is mighty expensive and I'd hate to buy a new one because I have 2 ugly ones!!!! Yeah bad prep can be costly, but I'm a gal and pretty articulate.....
