I think this was covered a couple years back but could not find the postings, that said....... Are there any shops that deal with small parts? Our local DEQ killed chrome shops years ago so trying to find a source for plating small stuff. I expect that this is an issue for other folks as well. Thanks.
@Bandit Billy has had some little parts plated on his roadster. He says: "Chrome Tony at Pacific Plating In the 'Couve. His son chrome troy runs the joint now. They do good work." https://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/threads/brian-made-me-do-it-now-with-video.1085156/
I had a bunch of small parts done by North Star plating in Brainerd, MN last fall. It was an oil filler cap, two 8BA oil fill tubes, and the pipes and clamps and brackets for an 8BA road draft tube ***embly. It was $143 plus tax. I thought they did a real nice job. The only down side is that it took 4 months. That doesn't bother me at all, since I am pretty good at planning projects. It was all pretty simple, except for the oil filler cap, which still turned out great. They even advertise that they do stuff like this for folks like us on their website.
Chrome Tony and his son Chrome Troy have taken great care of me. I have had small items like brackets done and I have had big items like ladder bars and the like. Pacific Plating in Vancouver. I just picked up my tach housing last night. They also do metal polishing like that aluminum tach cup. Tell them Billy sent ya!
