    How do you do it?

Specifically, how do you keep all the chemicals and crap (and chrome) from getting into the water passages, and screwing up the mounting surface?

Anyone on here done it? How much $ did it cost?

    Thanks!!

Take it to the chromer and let him worry about it. Most heads are not chromed but polished aluminum.

I know, but I have seen some chromed heads out there..... The ones I have are iron, and off a Zephyr V-12. Aluminum heads for these V-12's are about $1000 if they are in good shape.....

    Anyone else?

How much do figure chroming them, properly, will cost? At least you'd have the look. Consider the chrome look ceramic maybe. I'd also worry more about copper build up in the stud holes. Could be costly but it might be cool lookin.
