    hello from modesto cal I love these forum end I need same info I am working on 1950 Desoto is going to have 265 flat head I found a 1955 Plymouth station wagen whit a r10 od transmission mi question is du I need the bell housing from the wagen and the linkage to or I need to modify one thanks .:)

    I believe it is a straight bolt in. There might be a bid of difference in length so you might need to fiddle withthe drive shaft, and if your Desoto has fluid drive you will need to change the input shaft, to accomodate the extra depth of the bell housing, as the Plymouth will have a dry clutch set up. Make sure you get all the wiring, step down switch/linkage, and cable.

    Suggest you register for the P15 D24 forum which is for 46 through 49 Plymouths and Dodges, but includes chryslers, and Desotos with Mopar Flathead 6 power. This questio posted there will get you definete answers. You can view and search the forum before your registration is confirmed and you can post, but look aroud there with the key word OD or transmission.
