I have an A833 four speed transmission out of a 1973 Dodge Dart Sport. The engine was a 318 (5.2L) V8. It had an 8 1/4 3.55: 1 rear axle. The car had 65000 miles on it. The frame rusted in two so I junked the body and saved the drive line. The car drove and shifted fine, but was too dangerous to drive. I DO NOT HAVE THE SHIFTER. The part number for this trans is: 3410608. The casting number on the main case is: C99129H. The casting number on the tail housing is: C99128 I. The numbers stamped on the pad on the main case are: PP63344360, above that is: B1 11320. It has a 23 spline input shaft. According to the 1973 Chrysler parts book the trans will fit: Valiant, Dart w/ 273-318, Barracuda w/318, Barracuda, Dart w/340-383. It has the short tail shaft so it will not bolt into a "B" body. I believe the Challenger uses the floor pan from the "B" body line and it will not accept this trans. I would not bet money on that fact, but I assume that is why the parts book does not include the Challenger as an application. It needs a gasket set because a person that looked at it had to take it apart to see inside. He said he could get one cheaper. I reassembled it using the old gaskets. It has been sitting in a heated building since I removed it from the car about 1992. The rear output yolk is NOT INCLUDED. I need it. I will not ship this unit. It must be picked up. I want the purchaser or representative to see what they are getting. Sale will be final. You can take it apart and inspect it as long as you put a $20.00 deposit down. If you buy it that will go to the purchase price. If you don't find anything wrong and decline purchase, you lose the deposit. 931-310-7619 Dan
