Im putting a 1937 Plymouth together.I have a mid 70s 318 motor, and I would like to put a Chrysler/Dodge 4 speed automatic behind it. Is this possible with out a computer. I would like to keep it old school. Is this possible?

Get one from a pre- '95 Ram or Dakota, they are hydraulically controlled, no computer needed.

I believe the earliest version of the Mopar automatic O/D are non-computer. There are two transmissions, the A500, which is 904 based, and the A518, which is 727 based, the latter being a bit heavier duty. But for your stated use, the 500 should be more than adequate.

IIRC, the last of the rear drive sedans ended with '89 model year and were 3 spd w/lockup torque converter, so the Dakota and Ram pickups and vans are where to look for the OD versions.
