I need some help identifying a parts car. My boss said it’s a 61,but the new bushings and ball joints for a 61 don’t fit. I was rebuilding the control arms from the parts car to put on his hard top 61 station wagon. I am replacing the ones on the S/W because of a botched disc brake install by a previous owner that welded in some late model van ball joints. Any one know how to read the numbers on the VIN or the trim tag? The 300 the S/W and the 4 door parts car all look like the same year cars to me. Thanks Greg [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]

Not sure if this is exactly what you are looking for but the 61 Chrysler would have a Model Number like an RC1-L (Newport 4dr sedan) or RC3-H (New Yorker Wagon) or even RC4-P (300 Series) Body Style numbers would be 813, 833, 842...Tom

According to the "Rare Parts, Inc" catalog I have, 60-62 Chrysler front suspension parts are the same but you might want to check with them for sure - 209-948-6005...Tom
