Looks like yer basic "la" motor to me...most likely a 318 by the looks of the small carby never used on a 360...and the 273's were painted red..it'll be stamped but I forget where! Damn CRS!

btw, my latest Car Craft shows how they got an honest 400 hp [!] from a 318 without too much money and no blowers, turbos or "noss".
I screwed together a shortened 31 Plymouth sedan and used a '73, 318 with similar headers to yours.. I believe in those Small Block MOPAR engines....light, good rod angle and mucho parts availibility... I'd stick with it.

The twin cowl vents say it's a mopar alright but I thought only the high-end mopars [Imperial?] had the dual windshields....I suppose they could have been transplanted from a "big car" to the plymouth...
Doesn't that pearl white 33 Imperial with the [6] billet wheels and the 426 Hemi have dual windshields? I saw it here in Omaha for the NSRA midwest nats and I thought it had 2 windshields like the one in the photo..

from what i have seen on this ride, the cowl and windshield are stock to the car... cant see any weld marks or signs of a swap.

I'll go with the crowd on this one the dual windshield looks to be chrysler, and the part of the 33 chrysler that I liked best was the front doors had a frame that housed a door glass and a vent glass. you could open the vent and roll down the window in a conventional fashion or leave the vent closed and roll the whole unit down like a one piece glass. pretty cool shit. and worked like the 34 ford doors that slid back to vent [IMG]

Thats a '33-'34 Chrysler. I have a buddy that has a '34 Chrysler coupe with a 426 hemi in it. It also has the dual windshields and dual vents. Pretty cool cars to hot rod.

Higg, it's a Chrysler...not a Plymouth. There is a difference. The most notable being the windshield and cowl vents.
