   Im trying to hotwire my starter in a 1958 hemi. sometimes it goes in and out and sometimes it just arcs off the terminals what do you think the problem is? ive never ran into this before. it bench tested fine and I also took it all apart and clean everything inside.

   Did you check the starter relay? I always hot wire them with a jumper wire on the relay.
