one last question... we have been busting our butts on the wifes 65 ford falcon. Interior is in now and front suspension has been rebuilt. Now we are considering driving it up to Vegas for Viva. We have tickets to viva already. Is my wifes car too new for the car show and if not is it too late to get her car in the show?

    Thanks

we may do that. I was wondering if they made exceptions or just were not that strick...I went to #3, #10, and now #13 and have seen 63+ vehicles. I know for sure at #10 i did.

Lotus, sorry but our show has been pre 1963 for the longest time. Just recently we bumped it up one year to make it pre 1964. We just have to have a cut off year some where and keep it that way. Hope you understand. Nice car though ;)

The road trip getting there is half the fun anyway! The hangover road trip on the way home is another story. ha ha

  16. Road Trip, road trip ? Kevan, you guys are just takin' a little ride in the country. It's farther for me to Denver than you guys to Vegas. Some peoples kids I tell ya .........

Roll out to Gunnison, or Indy, then we'll talk about your road trip........

As far as the hangover goes, it's inevitable, unless you keep drinkin'

    See you soon, Johnnie.

    Counting down the days!

And to the people saying its too expensive, its what $89 a ticket, you couldn't save that in a year? Hell I got that in my change jar after a few months and I'm living off VA Education benefits right now and I'm cashing that change in for BEER money!

$89 Breaks down to $22.25 per day including car registration. Just need food & fun money. Actually not that bad of a weekend money wise. I know you can get rooms downtown at the 4 Queens for $45 a night, still available. I have been squirrelling away money for a year for the show.

The quality of the cars this year is over the top ! Johnnie, you'll be happy to know that we turned away approx. 40 wheel barrels, Ice chests, and pallets with engines in them this year!

Authentic 50's Rock n Roll and traditional Rods & Customs. The way its supposed to be.

  20. Alex,

Am so happy you guys finally drew the line, will be great for the show in the long run. Traditional Rods & Customs is the way it's supposed to be. Am sure it's no fun turning someone down whom you know has time & effort into their project. But it's the Shifters show and should fit THEIR vision of how it should be.

After seeing pics of that so-called "Merc Truck" that you denied entry, you guys are the heros of several of my close friends. And remember, no stupid diesel powered A's with 6" single wall furnace vent for exhaust. Hopefully this is a mark for the end of the shit-box trend.

    Aaaaalllllllllllll Aaaaboard ! !

    Kudos, Johnnie.

Not a problem. I fully understand. If it has been bumped up to pre-64 (as is the HAMB) does the 65 Falcon fall in a loophole like it does here on the HAMB as the 64/65 are the same?

Just asking. no biggie if not. We are still working out the small bugs in hope of driving it up even if it can be in the show. The new silver/white tuck n roll goes in today.

It will be a great show and we are really looking forward to it. The car show is the highlight for me. Been to 3, 10, and now 13.
