Rain x works good, but don't forget the fog X. My 53 always fogs up as well in the cold.

    Axle, you spelled it wrong.....it is (c)rap X with a silent C.

  4. I have never used fog x. I use barbasol shaving cream.Don't laugh it works.Lather up your windows and just keep wiping till you have it all off and your windows wont fog.If you don't believe me try a test area on your bathroom mirror and you will see.

Anyone know what barbers are cutting hair at VLV? I talked to Hawleywoods and Rob's and neither are cutting, only selling product this year. I need to get my ears lowered.

There will be a local Las Vegas barber doing traditional style haircuts inside one of the main vendor ballrooms upstairs

wooohoooooooooo I'm off of work! So now I have to pack, get some 2x4's and barracade a basement door (there's been a few break ins in our tiny town recently) and generally just get in a good mood for the weekend.

Anyone else staying at the Hard Rock? There is an amateur fight event going on there Saturday night that I am going to check out, plus another show.

    The show was Great!

Thanks to Axle and the Shifters for inviting us and the Strange Bird! It was a rough road getting there, but well worth it! Unfortunately, I had to leave on sunday for medical reasons......I hate spiders. Hope to be back next year!

Oh....Axle.....Your Chevy is BAD ASS!. I liked it alot. I see wheelies in your future.

  26. So, I couldn't make it there. I want to hear how Chuck berry was. I've seen him numerous times, always with a crappy pick up band. This time he has the cream of the roots music crop. Did Chuck see a Video 'corder and stalk off stage, as usual? He's a crabby MFer, but he has the right. He IS the true King of Rock and Roll.

He was "slowed" by age...But it was still Chuck Berry!!

    Wanda Jackson was amazing!
I was backstage for her show (Thanks to Chris "Sugarballs" Sprague :D) and got to meet her.

Wanda looked younger at viva 13 than she did at viva 3 ten years ago! sounded better to.

Chuck was slowed by age guitar wise and vocal wise but it was still cool to see him.

Missed the Chop Tops at the car show but saw them the day before and they tore the place up!!!! watched a youtube of them covering a stray cats song at the car show and it looks like they tore the place up!

All in all I had a good time but I doubt I will be going to another Viva as it is too big now. They sell way to many tickets since they are allowed to go off the capacity of the whole place. At the bar when the chop tops were playing the line out front in the casino was a block long. I was not able to get tickets to either burlesqe show. This is not a dig on anybody...hell, it is a success seeing as many people that are there so more power to them. But for me it is too big now. I went to viva 3 & 10 and got to see every event that I wanted to see with no lines.

PS sugarballs kicks ass!!!!! I was at the Deke guitar fest show and I have to say that by far was the highlight of my weekend!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was surprised that the Chop Tops played Brendans pub as well concidering that they filled the main ballroom last year. Granted they played the car show but you knew they were going to be one of the big draws this year as well.
I missed Wanda Jackson unfortunatley, but I really liked Cash O'Riley, Eve Hell & the Razors, and the Smokin 45's the most. All of them were excellant as were the Modern Sounds. Great music as well as a killer car show. Was it just me or was there less live music and more DJ's this year ??? Either way it was still excellant.

  30. Joel Paterson & the Modern Sounds are my new favorite roots band. Very tight musicianship and reverence for the music they play. Plus, an aura of fun that won't quit. I can't wait for them to come back out to the West Coast.
